LOGO REQUIREMENTS

The National Fisheries Authority (NFA), an Agency of the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, is implementing an online licensing and registration system called IrieFINS. This will be Jamaica’s fisheries and aquaculture information system.

The NFA invites all employees in the public sector to create and submit their best logo design for IrieFINS. The design must be an original and complement the stature of the Jamaican public service.

The logo will be used online, in print, and on merchandise. The logo should visually capture in a simple, appealing and exciting way the essence of the IrieFINS – Jamaica’s fisheries and aquaculture information system.

ABOUT THE PROJECT

The NFA is collaborating with the Transformation Implementation Unit (TIU) to implement a new licensing and registration system.   The new system is expected to improve the process for clients and stakeholders of the NFA while improving the management and sharing of data in the fisheries sector.

IrieFINS will be an internet-based, integrated licensing and registration information system that captures data, manages it, provides timely, accurate reports while assisting the operations of the NFA in managing the country’s fisheries resources.

IrieFINS, a highly secure and highly robust system, will efficiently provide access online to authorised stakeholders anywhere, anytime (i.e., 24 hours a day; seven days a week).

The implementation of this online licensing and registration system is part of a wider programme to transform the public sector.
