5 Strategies to Support the Implementation of MyHR+ in your Organisation

MyHR+ is the integrated HR and payroll system being implemented in the public sector. It offers key features to transform the way HR and payroll teams operate whilst improving the level of service employees receive from these departments.

Implementing such as system across the public sector is not easy and it requires effective change management strategies for successful implementation. As part of the implementation of the system in ministries, departments, and agencies (MDAs), a change management and communication workstream is established in each organisation to support the process.  Approximately 70 MDAs are currently using the system.

As the rollout of the system continues, in addition to structured change management support, we are sharing in five strategies you can employ at your entity to pave the way for the successful implementation of MyHR+.

  1. Identifying potential barriers to the change. The reality is that resistance emerges during any effort in which people must change the way they do their work. It arises primarily due to fear of the unknown and/or a reluctance to change. Identifying these potential barriers to the change will help you to craft the appropriate plan to manage resistance.
  2. Create an inclusive plan to overcome the potential barriers that can address employees who may be resistant to change. A few key steps include coaching and mentoring.
  3. Communicate the change in a manner that is transparent, consistent, timely and ongoing to employees to effectively minimise resistance and ensure a smooth transition.
  4. Train employees and users of the system is best practice requires completing an assessment and then creating a training plan that is tailored to meet the needs of the organisation.
  5. Monitor implementation progress to identify any issues that may arise and adjust aid reinforcement and sustainability. Metrics such as MyHR+ user adoption rates, system usage, and employee feedback are best used to monitor progress.

An effective change management plan is essential for the successful implementation of MyHR+. It involves careful planning, communication, assessments, training, and monitoring of change within the organisation. The goal when deploying an effective change management in any organisation is to minimise resistance to change and ensure a smooth transition.
