PIOJ Launches a Data 4 Development Online Monitoring Platform
The Planning Institute of Jamaica (PIOJ) recently launched the Data 4 Development Online Monitoring Platform on June 22, 2023.
The platform was developed by the Government of Jamaica with support from the UNDP towards advancing Vision 2030 Jamaica – National Development Plan and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The Online Monitoring Platform supports the use of data and statistics for analysis and monitoring and evaluation by all stakeholders. It is expected to strengthen the PIOJ’s ability to support policy development; the alignment of planning and development financing and budgeting; and the management of public investment. The platform is accompanied by the Jam Data mobile application that is free-of-cost.
It is anticipated that development stakeholders in the private and public sectors, members of the Diaspora and regional and global partners will utilise the platform as a development tool for making “Jamaica, the place of choice to live, work, raise families and do business”.
A post-live stream video of the launch is available on the Planning Institute of Jamaica’s YouTube channel, and UNDP Multi Country Office in Jamaica’s Facebook and YouTube channels.
